<p>The Legal Billing Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day operations of the billing department, managing a team of up to 10 billing professionals. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant client invoicing, while driving efficiency, consistency, and process improvements across billing operations. We offer a collaborative culture, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and mentor a team of up to 10 billing staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management. </li><li>Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of client invoices in compliance with firm and client billing guidelines. </li><li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, including LEDES format and other client-specific requirements. </li><li>Enter and manage timekeepers, rates, and budgets in various E-Billing platforms. </li><li>Manage E-Billing submissions through various platforms, troubleshooting rejections, and resolving client portal issues. </li><li>Collaborate with attorneys, practice groups, and finance leadership to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies. </li><li>Monitor billing deadlines to ensure monthly targets are met, escalating issues as necessary. </li><li>Manage WIP (Work in Progress) to ensure compliance with firm targets, assisting attorneys in reviewing and reducing aged WIP where appropriate. </li><li>Leverage technical skills in Excel to prepare reports, analyze data, and identify trends in billing performance. </li><li>Utilize and support the firm's billing systems, with a focus on Elite 3E (experience a strong plus). </li><li>Lead continuous process improvement initiatives across billing and E-Billing processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. </li><li>Partner with Collections and Accounts Receivable teams to support cash flow objectives. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of legal billing experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in LEDES billing formats and E-Billing platforms. </li><li>Familiarity with major E-Billing systems, including: </li><li>TyMetrix 360 </li><li>Legal Tracker (Serengeti) </li><li>CounselLink </li><li>Bottomline Technologies </li><li>Collaborati </li><li>SimpleLegal </li><li>Experience with E-Billing Hub is a plus. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, reporting) </li><li>Experience with Elite 3E or similar financial systems highly desirable. </li><li>Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with managers, attorneys, staff, and clients. </li><li>Ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. </li></ul> <p>The annualized salary range for this role is $80,000-$90,000.
