<p>What you'll be up to:</p> <ul> <li>Perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of general, specialized and/or high-tech </li></ul> <p>medical equipment and systems.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a working knowledge and use of required test equipment and electronics, including </li></ul> <p>pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills.</p> <ul> <li>Interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service </li></ul> <p>information required to perform and document preventive maintenance and repair of medical equipment</p> <p>and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established SOPs (standard operating procedures).</p> <ul> <li>May occasionally work on non-medical devices such as Rapiscan, Gatekeeper, Evolv. Higi, </li></ul> <p>etc.</p> <ul> <li>Independently perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on designated modality, while working </li></ul> <p>within the established procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Independently perform complex troubleshooting and repairs on designated modality, while working </li></ul> <p>within the established procedures.</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate proper methods and techniques of installation, calibration, preventative maintenance </li></ul> <p>and repair troubleshooting.</p> <ul> <li>Read and comprehend prints and schematics; repair and calibrate according to company procedures </li></ul> <p>and specifications.</p> <ul> <li>Effectively triage work orders and establish priority to meet contractual commitments </li><li>Maintain spare part stock independently. </li><li>Operate PC hardware and Microsoft based software. </li><li>Interact and communicate with internal and external customers. </li><li>Instruct customers and staff in applications and operations of the equipment. </li><li>Submit timely and accurately; service reports, time sheets, expense reports, and other paperwork </li></ul> <p>as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Maintain the daily back-order report, cycle count and shipping needs of the facility. Other </li></ul> <p>projects as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to be a self-starter and manage your own work to meet the needs of our </li></ul> <p>customers</p> <ul> <li>Flexible for occasional nationwide overnight and weekend travel. </li><li>Demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level knowledge and use of required test equipment and </li></ul> <p>electronics, including pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical knowledge and skills.</p> <ul> <li>Train others on operational functions of biomedical equipment and provide mentoring to BMEE I </li><li>Additional relevant responsibilities as issued by manager. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>What we are looking for in experience, education and personal characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Electronics or completion of DoD Biomedical Equipment Repair School or </li></ul> <p>equivalent experience and BMET Certification preferred</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment. </li><li>Valid driver's license in good standing and reliable vehicle. </li><li>Excellent internal and external customer relations and interpersonal skills. Must be able to </li></ul> <p>develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with customers and co-workers at all levels</p> <p>within the company.</p> <ul> <li>Utilize Advanced Judgment in complex repair, maintenance and calibration of scientific equipment </li></ul> <p>and provide guidance and mentorship to BMEE I.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use collaborative problem-solving methods and exercises some independent </li></ul> <p>judgement.</p> <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair, and </li></ul> <p>maintenance.</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the application of software and how it interfaces with equipment </li><li>Knowledge of current regulatory requirements. </li><li>Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology as applied to use of biomedical equipment. </li><li>Knowledge of color code conventions used in component and wiring marking. </li><li>Ability to analyze, repair, and test electronic equipment. </li></ul>
