Other duties may be assigned</p> <p>Leadership by Values</p> <ul> <li> <p>Establish and maintain a high level of citizen confidence.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate the principles of One Team, One Goal in daily interactions with staff and guests.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with establishing and maintaining exceptional relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Support and ensure a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging exists in all areas of the Park District.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead with a servant leader style and approach when interacting with internal and external customers.</p> </li></ul> <p>Operational Excellence</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide on-site supervision of Aldeen Golf Club and Practice Center as assigned, including serving as Manager on Duty (MOD).</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the day-to-day operations of all departments and areas at Aldeen Golf Club, including seasonal team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with day-to-day operations of the Aldeen Golf Club and Practice Center.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide oversight of monthly budgets and report variances to the Head Golf Professional as applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Liaison for the Aldeen Men's Golf Association (AMGA) and other leagues/customer groups, including event support and communication of rules/scoring.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the GPS program for the cart fleet, including updates for course conditions, promotions, and surveys.</p> </li><li> <p>Help promote Aldeen as a premier golf club and family-friendly venue.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide content for social media with the Head Golf Professional.</p> </li><li> <p>Recruit, plan, and manage golf outings and events, coordinating with outings/events staff, Food & Beverage Operations, and other team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide private lessons.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage contracts and Certificates of Insurance (COIs) for the facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with Operational Systems and IS to support and troubleshoot golf POS and reservation software; serve as on-call MOD for system issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the facility calendar for events as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the facility scheduling software and ensure team members are properly trained.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the phone system, update message trees, and ensure calls/messages are returned in a timely manner (typically within 24 hours).</p> </li><li> <p>Develop, analyze, and implement new programs based on trends and industry standards to increase revenue and maintain existing programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with preparing reports and other business data for Aldeen and other courses as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with restaurant and pavilion tenants to ensure customer service standards and policy compliance are maintained.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure restrooms, clubhouse, Pro Shop, and all public areas are cleaned regularly and meet Park District standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Record and report monthly progress toward goals and recommend areas for improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Director of Operations as needed to provide consistency for business functions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Performance Management / Development</p> <ul> <li> <p>In collaboration with the Human Resources Department, recruit, hire, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate seasonal team members for assigned departments/areas.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and evaluate team member performance and document performance as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide coaching, encouragement, direction, and corrective action in accordance with District policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in disciplinary and termination actions when necessary, including implementing the District's recognition/reward program.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide training and development opportunities that enhance team member skills, knowledge, and abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage time, attendance tracking, and approval of seasonal employee hours.</p> </li><li> <p>Recommend and organize team members and operations to meet current and future needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend trainings, seminars, and conferences to enhance personal development.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Head Golf Professional in organizing one-on-ones, meetings, and presentations to enhance communication with staff or community groups.</p> </li></ul> <p>Compliance</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist the Head Golf Professional in ensuring staff implements all PDRMA procedures, policies, checklists, training, and documentation to meet risk management requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain working knowledge of department safety procedures and attend required safety trainings and in-service programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Required to attend and participate in District meetings, including Rockford Park District Board meetings, when requested.</p> </li></ul> <p>Customer Satisfaction</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide quality customer service to all patrons, guests, and District employees.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure a superior customer experience through service knowledge, flexibility, thoroughness, and professionalism.</p> </li><li> <p>Quickly and effectively resolve customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist patrons in interpreting golf policies, rules, and regulations as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Teamwork</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work in cooperation with the Golf Team to strengthen overall operations of Aldeen Golf Club.</p> </li><li> <p>Work collaboratively with various departments and facilities within the Rockford Park District to ensure operational success.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with day-of operations for leagues, outings, and events as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for being the Media Spokesperson when serving as Manager on Duty.</p> </li><li> <p>Fill in as needed for operational coverage (starters, rangers, cart attendants, etc.).</p> </li></ul> <p>Cash Control</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain knowledge of the computer cash register system and credit card operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with checking patrons in for tee times and performing cashier duties as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform cashier and other golf program duties as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor Degree in Business Management and or 3-5 years of related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>PGA/LPGA Professional Preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Critical Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
