<p>Login to Apply Assistant Cheer Coach</p> <p>JOB STATUS: UNTIL FILLED POSTING DATE: 12/11/2025 POSTING NUMBER: 00007415 LOCATION: Terry High School POSITION TITLE: Assistant Cheer Coach</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The Assistant High School Cheer Coach supports the Head Coach in training, skill development, routine building, and managing the cheer program, focusing on teaching fundamentals, ensuring safety, leading practices/games, handling logistics (uniforms, travel), organizing tryouts, fundraising, and fostering positive team spirit and sportsmanship, working closely with athletic department staff.</p> <p>Must be a current LCISD teacher</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Coaching & Instruction: Teach proper cheer techniques, stunting, tumbling, and choreography; lead practices and supervise during games/events. </li><li>Team Management: Maintain discipline, promote sportsmanship, and manage team logistics like transportation and equipment. </li><li>Administrative Support: Assist with tryouts, scheduling, communication with parents, uniform orders, and fundraising activities. </li><li>Program Development: Help the Head Coach plan seasons, develop routines, and meet school/athletic department goals. </li><li>Safety: Implement safety protocols, document injuries, and ensure a safe environment for all athletes, potentially requiring First Aid/CPR certification. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE: QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Qualifications & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Holds a valid Teaching Certification </li><li>Previous coaching or competitive cheer experience preferred </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to work with diverse student groups, parents, and staff </li><li>Basic computer/social media skills </li><li>Physical ability to demonstrate skills and lift equipment </li></ul> <p>JOB CONTACT INFORMATION:</p> <p>APPLY TO: SALARY: $3,000 stipend DAYS:</p>
