<p>The Regional Director of Case Management (RDCM) is accountable for planning, directing and overseeing all aspects of daily operations of the regional case management "Tiger Team," which consists of float case managers, float discharge coordinators and Corporate Operations and Process Specialists (COPS). The RDCM is responsible for coordinating training and education of all case management staff of the region. The RDCM is also responsible for coordinating case management staffing across the region. The RDCM will take on assignments and projects at the direction of the VP or Sr. Director of Case Management to further enhance the operations of the case management departments across the region.</p> <ul> <li>Hires, trains and operationalizes the case management "tiger team." Effectively deploys resources to hospitals to augment local efforts in events such as staffing shortage/gaps, high census, high number of placement barriers, or any time UR metrics are sub-optimal. </li><li>Coordinates the education and training of all case management staff across the region. Plans and ensures completeness and appropriateness of training material. Procures and deploys educational resources to offer continual support to hospital staff on MCG and Allscripts proficiencies. Ensures MCG IRR proficiency level of 95% or better for all case managers, including directors and managers. </li><li>Coordinates regional staffing efforts across the region utilizing IHR incentives. Leads this effort on a day-to-day basis by accessing each facilities' schedules and real-time information on unexpected staffing gaps such as call offs. Communicates to all case managers (and directors) asking for their assistance to fill these staffing gaps across the region. Ensures all qualifying IHR incentives are properly coded and paid. </li><li>Participates in revenue cycle improvement efforts and engages in other projects at the direction of VP (Sr Director) of Case Management. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California </li><li>Four (4) years of experience in an Acute Care Case Management role, with at least two (2) years of supervisory experience </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Computer literacy and proficiency </li><li>Knowledge of all Federal, State and Local regulatory standards </li><li>Professional demeanor with Healthcare team </li><li>Strong Organizational and Time Management skills with ability to effectively prioritize tasks </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors or Masters of Science in Nursing </li><li>Previous Director Level experince </li><li>InterQual or MCG criteria knowledge </li><li>Certified Case Manager (CCM) or other Case Management/Nursing Certification </li></ul> <p>Pay Rate: Min - $151,000 | Max - $208,000</p>
