We look for team members who are driven by innovation and excellence, striving to serve our customers by doing what is right-with integrity, teamwork, and accountability.</p> <p>This Manufacturing Engineer specializes in Fabrication for New Product Development (NPD) within a manufacturing setting. The role involves working with new technologies and automated equipment to build technical skills, serving as the Fabrication expert on NPD teams, and collaborating with Present Product groups as projects transition to production.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>This position will be a team member representing Manufacturing Engineering (Fabrication) on a key New Product Development (NPD) project </li><li>Collaborate with a cross-functional NPD team and lead efforts focusing on DFM/DFA as well as selection of appropriate manufacturing technologies and processes </li><li>Fill project management role and technical expert role on critical new automated equipment purchases </li><li>Support cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and other continuous improvement projects as required in support of fabrication business unit </li><li>Focus on safety within manufacturing environment </li><li>Provide technical support as a subject matter expert for production support engineering, maintenance, and operations </li><li>Expedite equipment and tooling repairs with a sense of urgency </li><li>Specify and install new capital equipment as required </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related </li><li>1-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing environment </li><li>Understanding of integrated manufacturing systems </li><li>Understanding of Fluid Power Systems (hydraulic and pneumatic) </li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and proactively create contingency plans </li><li>Must be able to work with sense of urgency and under pressure </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Understanding of equipment safety, functional safety, and risk assessment and safety validation process </li><li>Understanding of PLC systems and ability to troubleshoot </li><li>Understanding of robotic systems (Fanuc Preferred) </li><li>Basic understanding of electrical concepts and controls </li><li>Experience with sheet metal fabrication. </li></ul> <p>We value our employees by providing:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive compensation based on skills </li><li>Industry leading health, dental, and vision plans </li><li>Generous 401 (K) savings and profit sharing </li><li>On-site UW Health clinic, fitness center, and walking paths </li><li>Education assistance and internal training programs </li><li>Electric vehicle charging </li><li>Maternity & paternity leave </li><li>Interested in learning more on our robust benefits package we offer?
