We are looking for a 1st Shift Material Handler:</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Transport all needed supplies correctly and on time to required line or pre-batch area. </li><li>Communicate with internal customers to determine proper quantities and placement of items needed </li><li>Responsible for complying Good manufacturing practices, maintaining proper sanitation and housekeeping in area. </li><li>Properly put away any warehouse loads </li><li>Communicate and coordinate with other Material Handlers to ensure efficient operation of the department </li><li>Inform proper departments or supervisors of any issues or concerns </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor </li><li>Create and Receive TOP's \ POP's if needed </li><li>Schedule appointments \ answer emails and phone calls </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>2 Years of consistent and safe forklift operation on a stand-up forklift </li><li>The ability to read and understand Line schedules and material needs </li><li>Positive attendance record </li><li>Safe operation of stand-up and sit-down fork truck </li><li>Basic computer skills </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in a warehouse environment is a plus. </li><li>Previous experience in shipping and receiving is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Technical Capacity </li><li>Ability to work cooperatively and maintain a professional working relationship with employees </li><li>Good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written required. </li><li>Good organizational skills required </li><li>Flexibility </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The work is classified as Light - Medium Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles.
