Manufacturer of large custom-designed control valves, you will work in a dynamic and high-tech production facility based in our Marshalltown, Iowa location.</p> <p>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:</p> <ul> <li>Establish a safe working environment and demonstrate positive safety behaviors and attitude. </li><li>Responsible for assigning and coordinating work in a manufacturing department to improve efficiency and minimize cost while maintaining quality. </li><li>Has authority for personnel actions and supervises day-to-day operations. </li><li>Accurately maintain daily timecards for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime, and audit reports. </li><li>Collaborate with other supervisors and communicates with peers, subordinates, and management in a professional manner. </li><li>Responsible for training and cross training of employees in inspection, calibration, and nondestructive testing activities. </li><li>Maintain employee qualifications. Identify training gaps or additional qualifications. </li><li>Review's production schedules, material, and personnel resources. </li><li>Participates in establishing and modifying inspection methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures. </li><li>Maintains a variety of reports, records, and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance. </li><li>Carry out inspections / audits to ensure cleanliness, safety, quality control and to optimize production. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are:</p> <p>You balance planning with actions. You drill down to root causes to gather relevant information.</p> <p>For This Role, You Will Need:</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li><li>Previous supervisory experience or experience leading cross functional teams. </li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Solid digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and MS Outlook. </li><li>Ability to empower teams to achieve business objectives by utilizing strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills. </li><li>Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree with 2-3 years related experience in manufacturing or quality. </li><li>Understand and relate accurate measurement techniques and sequences as well as solid understanding of reading and interpretation of Geometrically Dimensioned Drawings (GD&T). </li><li>Excellent understanding of CMM programming techniques. </li><li>Strong leadership skills: including being disciplined, outspoken, and having a high energy level to meet safety and production performance goals. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities by utilizing strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills. </li></ul> <p>Our Culture & Commitment to You:</p> <p>We recognize the importance of employee wellbeing and know that to do your best you must have flexible, competitive benefit plans to meet you and your family's physical, mental, financial, and social needs.
