As one of Indiana's largest employers, our vision is to lead the transformation of healthcare through quality, innovation and education, and make Indiana one of the nation's healthiest states.</p> <p>EMR Access Lead</p> <p>(This position will involve some onsite work in Indianapolis, Indiana)</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who is Epic EMR certified, has a strong background in ambulatory and inpatient care, and possesses experience in Clinical Information Services (IS) and would like the opportunity to work in security compliance auditing of user EMR access. This role bridges clinical knowledge with information security, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and safeguarding patient data within Epic systems.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct information and security compliance audits of the Epic EMR and related clinical systems to ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards (HIPAA, Joint Commission, etc.). </li><li>Review and validate user access provisioning and role-based access controls for Epic and other clinical applications. </li><li>Identify and report security risks, workflow gaps, and compliance issues; recommend corrective actions. </li><li>Collaborate with Clinical IS and IT Security teams to maintain secure and compliant Epic environments. </li><li>Collaborate on Epic system upgrades, testing, and validation as an InfoSec liaison. </li><li>The ability to utilize Epic reporting tools to monitor access logs, audit trails, and compliance metrics. </li><li>Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures for clinical information security. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). </li><li>Licensure: Current RN license in the state of Indiana. </li><li>Certification: Epic EMR certification </li><li>Knowledge in both Epic Ambulatory and Inpatient Clinical Workflows and Documentation. </li><li>Experience: </li><li>Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in ambulatory and inpatient settings. </li><li>Hands-on experience with Epic EMR workflows and Clinical IS operations. </li><li>Strong understanding of security compliance auditing and access provisioning processes. </li><li>Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare compliance regulations. </li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Familiarity with Epic security tools and audit reporting. </li><li>Experience with compliance frameworks and risk management in healthcare IT. </li><li>Ability to interpret audit findings and implement corrective measures. </li><li>Epic Certification (Ambulatory or inpatient) </li><li>Experience with EPIC Ambulatory and inpatient </li><li>Intermediate Microsoft skills </li><li>Good Communication skills </li><li>Experience communicating at all levels </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred. </li><li>Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience. </li></ul>
