<p>Job Title: Elementary Physical Education (PE) Teacher</p> <p>Location: Pentucket Regional School District</p> <p>Work Year: 184 Days</p> <p>Reports To: Building Principal</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Elementary Physical Education (PE) Teacher is responsible for providing a comprehensive physical education program for students in grades K-6, aligned with state and national standards. The teacher promotes physical fitness, motor skill development, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles through engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education or related field</p> </li><li> <p>Massachusetts DESE License in Physical Education (All Levels or PreK-8 preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>SEI Endorsement (Sheltered English Immersion), as required by DESE</p> </li><li> <p>Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience teaching elementary-aged students</p> </li><li> <p>Strong classroom management and student engagement skills</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Massachusetts Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Curriculum Framework</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan and deliver physical education lessons that meet state standards and promote physical literacy</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment</p> </li><li> <p>Assess and monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with classroom teachers, staff, and administration</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and inventory physical education equipment and supplies</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in school-based meetings, parent conferences, and professional development</p> </li><li> <p>Uphold and implement school and district policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Comply with the terms outlined in the Pentucket Association of Teachers (PAT) collective bargaining agreement</p> </li></ul> <p>Terms of Employment:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work Year: 184 days per the PAT contract</p> </li><li> <p>Salary: In accordance with the PAT negotiated agreement</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluation: Performance will be evaluated by the building principal in accordance with district policy and the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation System</p> </li></ul> <p>The Superintendent may waive or modify the qualification requirements.
