<p>The General Manager directs and coordinates activities of the Ruth Truck Leasing location or locations assigned, to manage and attain required business outcomes within areas of responsibility by ensuring that effective leadership and implementation of business plans, financial and operational goals are accomplished.</p> <p>Rush Truck Leasing is the leading truck leasing and rental solutions provider, operating through a network of dedicated stores as well as through Rush Truck Centers locations. We provide a wide variety of trucks for full-service lease or rent, including Class 6, Class 7 and Class 8 trucks, heavy-duty cranes and refuse haulers. Our fleets are offered on a daily, monthly or long-term basis, and include premium Peterbilt and International brands. Rush Truck Leasing offers PacLease and Idealease full-service, TRAC and walk-away leases as well as financing, contract maintenance and truck rentals. Grow with us as we continue to expand our network of locations and dealerships.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership as is defined and will be measured as the clear ability to guide, direct and positively influence people to work effectively and productively to achieve the company's mission statement, cultural principles, and affirmative customer service while enhancing profit for the shareholders. </li><li>Monitor and maintain high rental utilization, good rental fleet ageing, running costs target. Review specs and approve all orders with an eye on residual values, and resale opportunities. </li><li>Monitor and assist in collection efforts on all accounts receivables. </li><li>Maintain good relationships with Paccar Leasing personnel, Region Manager, National Sales organization and Franchise Development persons and ensure all documents required by them are kept current. </li><li>Maintain strong financial oversight by ensuring timely and reasonable budgets are developed, anomalies in reports or financial statement line items are investigated and resolved and that company policies regarding controlling expenses to include reimbursement and spending are strictly followed. </li><li>Fully communicate with executive management of all aspects of the location's operational and financial affairs, and on all matters of significant relevance to the company. </li><li>Maintain a sound, effective organizational structure characterized by stability within the overall workforce while providing mentorship and leadership opportunities to high potential employee candidates for career advancement opportunities. </li><li>Foster and maintain profitable and effective relationships with customers and certain suppliers. </li><li>Regularly hold manager and employee meetings to inform them of company news, upcoming events and to provide clear direction and goal attainment requirements. </li><li>Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of business progress by walking the locations and departments, being open to speaking with employees to determine morale, issues, and successes, the market segment and opportunities, any problems and to keep abreast of the facility upkeep needs to include facility repairs or replacements. </li><li>Work to make sure customer needs are met at the location or within the company's network of affiliate business units. </li><li>Ensure areas of responsibility (AORs) for doing business are respected and fully developed to accomplish maximum market penetration and outreach of the Rush brands. </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications and Attributes</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University preferred. </li><li>Minimum of five years related experience and/or training. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>We offer exceptional compensation and benefits, 401K and stock purchase, incentives for performance, training, and opportunity for advancement - all in a culture that appreciates and rewards excellence, a positive attitude and integrity.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>This job posting does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
