This position also works under the general direction of the Director of Educational Services. The SLPA assists in implementing IEP-related services and activities for students, in accordance with Connecticut State Department of Education guidelines and district practices.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required </li><li>Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (C-SLPA) </li><li>Experience working with elementary-aged children in educational settings preferred </li><li>Ability to work onsite in the school environment </li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Must have the physical ability to execute the full performance of duties for the position, including but not limited to: reaching, some lifting, standing, walking, carrying, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and/or crawling.</p> <p>Note: The above job description is illustrative and not all-inclusive of tasks and responsibilities of the position.</p> <p>Non-Discrimination</p> <p>The Hebron Board of Education is committed to a policy of equal opportunity/affirmative action for all qualified persons.
