<p>INTERPRETERS/TRANSLATORS - Anticipated/future vacancies</p> <p>Location: Fairfield City School Disctrict (as-needed)</p> <p>All district interpreters/translators work on an as-needed basis and may be contacted by individual schools for availability. Hours cannot be guaranteed.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in both English and the language needed for translation, including using academic vocabulary </li><li>High school diploma or GED </li><li>Ability to pass an FBI and BCI criminal background check </li><li>Preference for availability during school hours </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Responsibilities:</p> <p>District translators may be asked to complete any of the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Oral and/or written translations in parent/teacher meetings, which may include face-to-face meetings or phone conferences </li><li>Oral and/or written translations for student testing </li><li>Written translations of school communications </li></ul> <p>Location: Varies based on need</p> <p>Salary: $34.39 per hour</p> <p>Application Process: All interested candidates are required to complete an application in the Recruit & Hiring system. Attach a cover letter and include the languages for which the applicant can translate, the applicant's availability for translating, and the applicants' best daytime number and email for schools to use.</p> <p>A completed application, current BCI and FBI background check results, and transcripts are required for all applicants.
