<p>Perdue AgriBusiness is part of Perdue Farms, a family-owned company heading into its second century of growth and innovation. An international agricultural products and services company, we handle agricultural commodities and have a diverse portfolio of products and businesses.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>We are actively seeking an experienced Regional Environmental Manager to join our team in Salisbury, MD. The Regional Environmental Manager will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulatory programs for the assigned Perdue facilities. This position provides technical support for site facility operations personnel at all levels of responsibility and completes environmental regulatory reporting for multiple facilities. The position is to train site personnel on environmental permits and programs. Environmental permitting, reporting, sample collection of wastewater, storm water, fresh water, and other industrial waste management activities are key job expectations. Budget development and management, environmental metrics collection and reporting, root cause analysis of system upsets, and environmental program development and training are other position responsibilities. This position is a leader and is expected to become familiar with the day-to-day operations and to be present within the facilities as a resource to the business functions.</p> <p>The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $145,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).</p> <p>In addition to the base salary, Perdue offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/Rx, 401(k) with employer match after 1 year, critical illness, accident insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, optional group life insurance, short-term and long-term disability protection, flexible spending accounts and paid time off.</p> <p>Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Manage the environmental compliance programs for assigned Perdue facilities, providing direction, guidance and advice to facility and operational managers regarding environmental issues. This activity supports both existing operations and proposed capital expansions and improvements. </li><li>Secure and maintain compliance with all assigned facility environmental permits, plans and other required documents from federal, state and local agencies. Present and explain the permit requirements to the signatory responsible officials on a regular basis. </li><li>Execute and maintain policies, procedures and environmental reporting systems to ensure compliance with permits, plans and other regulatory obligations. </li><li>Regularly visit assigned facilities to ensure Perdue policies and procedures are followed and to ensure compliance with environmental permits, plans and regulations. </li><li>Provide hands-on training and environmental awareness education to facility personnel. Provide guidance and direction, acting as the regulatory liaison. </li><li>Manage the used oil, nonhazardous and hazardous waste recycling and disposal programs for assigned facilities. </li><li>Work closely with the Agribusiness environmental team to develop/implement programs and initiatives to provide continuous improvement and environmental stewardship and sustainability within Perdue AgriBusiness operations. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree (Environmental Science, Engineering, or Biological Sciences) </li></ul> <p>Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of field experience </li></ul> <p>Experience Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Applicable experience in an agricultural business </li></ul> <p>Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements</p> <p>Able to move freely throughout Perdue facilities to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 pounds), exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit), humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (SDS sheets available). Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatus. Able to communicate on the telephone and use standard office equipment.
