<p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients following established standards, and practices. Assists physicians and staff in coordinating patient care. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians performed in a professional and courteous manner.</p> <ul> <li>Perform intake and assessment, which includes measuring patient health and wellness, both through direct observation and by conducting medical tests and evaluations. </li><li>Assists physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures and treatments. </li><li>Provides general nursing care to patients. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards, doctors' orders, and facility policy. </li><li>Maintains /reviews patient record, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. </li><li>Coordinates patient care by triaging patient phone calls regarding clinical issues including pre and post-operative instructions, test results, medications, problems, and urgent visit requests, in a timely manner and reporting any problems or potential issues directly to the supporting provider. </li><li>Monitors medication inventory, checks expiration dates, and orders medications. </li><li>Set up instruments and equipment in exam/procedure rooms, as needed. </li><li>Clean rooms, instruments, and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and facility policy. </li><li>Order, sort, and store medical supplies. Maintain adequate par levels for all supplies.
