<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>We are seeking skilled Multi-Craft Maintenance Technicians to maintain, repair, and install plant production and processing equipment. These are Second Shift (2:30 PM to 11:00 PM) and Third Shift (10:30 PM to 7:00 AM) positions.</p> <p>Why Work at Welch's:</p> <ul> <li>Great pay starting at $26.00 to $31.30/hour plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus! </li><li>Set shift schedules; weekends may vary. </li><li>Overtime is generally available. </li><li>Opportunities for advancement. </li></ul> <p>Where You'll Work:</p> <p>This role will be based out of our 24/7 manufacturing facility in Lawton, MI.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and repair production and processing equipment, utilities, refrigeration, and facilities. </li><li>Install, repair, and maintain piping components, motors, pumps, control panels, pneumatic systems, and controls. </li><li>Continuously improve equipment performance and reduce downtime. </li><li>Collaborate with production teams to maximize machine uptime. </li><li>Train other mechanics on equipment maintenance and setup. </li><li>Utilize a computerized Maintenance Management System for documentation. </li><li>Perform preventive maintenance tasks and suggest efficiency improvements. </li><li>Recommend and implement changes to improve equipment reliability. </li><li>Follow food safety, housekeeping, and sanitation procedures at all times. </li><li>Participate in regular meetings and complete other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are:</p> <ul> <li>Safety-conscious around complex, automated machinery in a non-temperature regulated environment. </li><li>Strong troubleshooting skills with effective communication abilities. </li><li>Proactive in identifying root causes and resolving issues. </li><li>Able to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/processing environment as a Maintenance Technician or similar role. </li><li>Minimum 2 years of machine maintenance and repair experience required. </li><li>Experience in a food, beverage, and/or GMP compliant environment preferred. </li><li>Multi-craft skillset including Electrical, PLC, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Motors, and mechanical systems. </li><li>Must pass a maintenance aptitude test before hiring. </li></ul>
