Perform highly technical electronic repairs and installations ensuring that emergency signal/radio systems do not fail during the life cycle of the equipment. Prioritize and make the best use of personnel, materials, and equipment.</p> <p>Specific Duties</p> <ul> <li>Install and maintain emergency warning signal system packages for SLED vehicles. </li><li>Install and maintain two-way radio equipment in SLED vehicles, SLED H.Q., regional offices, and other strategic locations around the state. </li><li>Install, repair, and maintain Avigilon camera equipment at SLED H.Q., regional office, and other strategic locations around the state. </li><li>Assist with garage facility maintenance operations and other duties as assigned by the Lieutenant or Captain. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma and a minimum of two (2) years of experience with the installation of two-way communications systems, emergency lighting, and various aftermarket emergency vehicle accessories. </li><li>Must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with Avigilon Security System equipment. </li><li>Must possess thorough, relevant knowledge of electronic vehicle accessories wiring, and Avigilon Security System maintenance. </li><li>A South Carolina driver's license is required. </li><li>Must have the ability to perform physical labor and lift objects up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to perform work in adverse conditions and from elevated surfaces. </li><li>Position requires 24-hour on call status. </li><li>The workplace will be in an automotive shop environment, indoors, and outdoors. </li><li>Overnight travel may be required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions, including, but not limited, to lactation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.</p> <p>SLED offers an exceptional benefits package for FTE positions that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance for Employee, Spouse, and Children </li><li>15 days annual (vacation) leave per year </li><li>15 days sick leave per year </li><li>13 paid holidays </li><li>Paid Parental Leave </li><li>State Retirement Plan and Deferred Compensation Programs </li></ul> <p>Supplemental questions are considered part of the official application.
