If you are a person with a relentless drive to succeed, a strong focus on quality with a passion for success - join us today!</p> <p>UCT is looking for a talented Supervisor, Quality to join us in Fremont, CA!</p> <p>The Supervisor, Quality oversees daily quality assurance and inspection activities to ensure semiconductor products, materials, and processes meet established specifications, standards, and customer requirements. This role manages quality technicians/inspectors, monitors quality performance, supports root cause investigations, and ensures compliance with internal and external quality systems. The Supervisor drives continuous improvement, strengthens defect prevention, and partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to support yield, reliability, and overall product excellence.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise QA and inspection personnel performing incoming, in process, and final inspections. </li><li>Assign work, prioritize inspection tasks, and ensure timely support for production and engineering activities. </li><li>Review quality data, NCRs, and inspection results to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. </li><li>Ensure adherence to quality standards, sampling plans, inspection procedures, and defect classification criteria. </li><li>Support root cause analysis (RCA), CAPA, and structured problem-solving activities with cross functional teams. </li><li>Maintain complete and accurate quality records, inspection documentation, and traceability requirements. </li><li>Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality to resolve quality issues and drive prevention activities. </li><li>Ensure readiness for audits, customer visits, and compliance with ISO/QMS or internal quality system requirements. </li><li>Oversee calibration, care, and proper use of measurement tools and inspection equipment. </li><li>Train, mentor, and develop quality technicians and inspectors, support skill progression and performance management. </li><li>Monitor KPIs such as defect rates, inspection throughput, NCR cycle time, and audit findings; drive corrective actions. </li><li>Support continuous improvement projects focused on yield, process stability, and quality system robustness. </li><li>Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and operational discipline across teams. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Experience:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in quality assurance, manufacturing quality, or inspection roles. </li><li>Strong knowledge of inspection methods, measurement tools, and quality documentation. </li><li>Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and defect classification standards. </li><li>Experience leading or coordinating the work of quality personnel. </li><li>Strong communication, problem solving, and root cause investigation skills. </li><li>Ability to collaborate cross functionally in high volume manufacturing environments. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Semiconductor or advanced manufacturing quality experience. </li><li>Familiarity with SPC/SPM, control charts, sampling plans, and statistical tools. </li><li>Experience with NCR/MRB workflows, CAPA, and ISO/QMS requirements. </li><li>Knowledge of cleanroom practices, contamination control, or metrology tools. </li><li>Demonstrated success improving inspection accuracy, reducing defects, or enhancing quality processes. </li></ul> <p>Education, Certifications, Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's or bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field. </li><li>ASQ certifications (e.g., CQT, CQPA, CQI) or equivalent. </li><li>Cleanroom, ESD, or safety training relevant to semiconductor environments. </li><li>raining in structured problem solving, SPC, or Lean/Six Sigma. </li></ul> <p>Ultra Clean Technology is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including?variable pay and discretionary awards?in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.</p> <p>If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.</p>
