<p>Posting Number FAE1999 Advertised Title Clinical Assistant Professor Campus Location Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number 024045 Category Full-Time Faculty Department Hospitality and Resort Management Position Summary</p> <p>The Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management (KWS) at The University of Memphis invites applications for the position of Clinical Assistant Professor, with a focus on experiential learning and industry engagement.</p> <p>This role will oversee all experiential learning initiatives for students in the Sport and Leisure Management (B.S.), Hospitality and Resort Management (B.A.), and Sport Commerce (M.S.) programs, in addition to future programs within the Kemmons Wilson School. The primary responsibilities include coordinating internships, field experiences, and other applied learning opportunities while cultivating and maintaining partnerships with hospitality, sport, and entertainment organizations in the Memphis metropolitan area and beyond.</p> <p>This position serves as a key liaison between the School, students, and industry partners-ensuring meaningful, high-impact learning experiences that enhance student career readiness and strengthen the Kemmons Wilson School's connection to the regional and national business community.</p> <p>This position will report directly to the interim dean, Dr. Richard Bloomer.</p> <p>Minimum Position Qualifications</p> <p>Master's degree in Sport Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a closely related field.</p> <p>Special Conditions</p> <p>Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to attend industry events or student functions.</p> <p>The department is specially interested in candidates with:</p> <p>Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.</p> <p>Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, collaborative higher education environment.</p> <p>Demonstrated ability to build and sustain professional relationships with employers, community partners, and students.</p> <p>Posting Date 11/07/2025 Closing Date 02/01/2026 Open Until Screening Begins No Hiring Range $65,000 - $75,000 per year Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time: Benefits Eligible Special Instructions to Applicants</p> <p>All applications must be submitted online at workforum.memphis.edu.</p> <p>Applicants must complete all applicable sections of the online application to be considered for a position.
