<p>Description</p> <p>The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for the maintenance of existing business and development of new business with the K12 industry's largest bus contractors (top 10 by fleet size).</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Actively pursue new business with large bus contractors across all of the transportation product lines. </li><li>Develop strong professional relationships with existing and prospective clients in the segment. </li><li>Develop and implement sales strategies to introduce, promote and close business to this market segment across all of the transportation product lines. </li><li>Develop proposals, quotes and agreements to meet specific needs of this segment. </li><li>Represent the company in one-on-one meetings with clients and prospects, group meetings such as tradeshows and in a consulting capacity in public presentations. </li><li>Attend trade shows and other industry events as required. </li><li>Work with Corporate Marketing Department to create promotions and campaigns to the target market </li><li>Develop relationships and work with other Tyler divisions on cross-selling and promotional efforts. </li><li>Maintain business contacts and liaison with outside groups and professional associations to keep abreast of advancements and developments in the transportation software industry. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Master's Degree preferred </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills </li><li>Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities </li><li>Strong IT and software knowledge </li><li>Some experience with project management is desired </li><li>Experience coordinating multiple internal resources without direct reporting relationships </li></ul> <p>7 or more years' experience selling to and managing complex vendor and large k12 client relationships</p> <ul> <li>Ability to negotiate and close sales deals </li><li>Computer proficiency in sales-oriented software, communications software, MS Word, Excel, </li><li>Outlook and PowerPoint </li><li>Excellent customer service skills (service-oriented personality) </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients on technical and business issues </li><li>25-50% Travel </li><li>Maintain positive, professional relationships with internal and external clients </li><li>Must be able to work independently and as part of a team </li></ul>
