<p>Recruitment Number 25-186TO, Information Technology Specialist IV (Telecom Branch), SR-22, Honolulu, OahuThis position's work includes IT network and security analysis, planning, specifications, design, build, conversion, implementation, support, documentation, and procurement. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting phone systems, IP phones, VPNs, network access control systems, wired and wireless network switches, VoIP routers, wireless LAN Controller, Access Point, and other devices or technologies as needed. The work reflects a full range of complexity and exercises significant judgment, and performs other related duties as assigned.Education:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree, or</p> <p>Excess experience of the types and quality described below or any administrative, professional, analytical, technical, or other responsible work which provided knowledge, skills and abilities comparable to those acquired in four (4) years of successful study while completing a college or university curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. To be acceptable, the experience must have been of such scope, level, and quality as to assure the possession of comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.</p> <p>The education or experience background must also demonstrate the ability to write clear and comprehensive reports and other documents; read and interpret complex written material; and solve complex problems logically and systematically.</p> <p>Specialized Experience: Two and one-half (2-½) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in information technology which involved systems analysis, design, programming, security and access management, database design and management, consulting, and/or installing and maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, web or network infrastructure equipment.
