As part of our Southeast Transportation team, you'll help deliver critical rail and transit programs that shape the future of mobility across South Florida. We're looking for a Senior Cost Estimator to support our long-standing rail and transit client in Broward County.</p> <p>In this role, you will support program controls, contract administration, and cost management for a high-profile transportation program. Working closely with our client and project leadership, you will play a key role in evaluating costs, contractor claims, schedule coordination, and change negotiations. You'll also provide mentorship to junior estimators and contribute to strong project governance.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Contracts and Procurement Manager in evaluating contractor claims. </li><li>Support the negotiation of contract changes and change orders. </li><li>Coordinate with the project Scheduler on contract schedule development and maintenance. </li><li>Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to other cost estimators. </li><li>Participate in constructability reviews as assigned. </li><li>Perform quantity take-offs to support cost estimates. </li><li>Prepare cost analyses and estimates to assist the Program Controls Manager with the evaluation of design changes. </li><li>Deliver clear, effective oral and written communication for client presentations, technical reporting, and correspondence. </li><li>Interface proactively with all levels of the project team, client representatives, consultants, and contractors. </li><li>Apply strong knowledge of construction cost estimating and analysis techniques. </li><li>Utilize cost estimating, spreadsheet, database, and document processing software effectively. </li><li>Perform other related project duties as requested by the Program Controls Manager. </li></ul> <p>This position requires part-time on-site presence at the client's office in Fort Lauderdale. Candidates currently residing in Palm Beach, Broward, or Miami-Dade counties, or those willing to travel regularly, are encouraged to apply.</p> <p>This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Construction Management. </li><li>7+ years of experience supporting multimillion-dollar construction or infrastructure projects. </li><li>Proven ability to perform detailed cost estimating and quantity take-offs. </li><li>Strong working knowledge of relevant software tools (estimating, spreadsheet, and database applications). </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>144,700.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>200,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
