<p>PARK ATTENDANT</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>The purpose of this job is to issue park permits, collect fees, assist with event preparation, setup, and operation, provide information to the public, and perform maintenance duties to ensure admittance to facilities within guidelines and to provide a clean, safe park.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Issue Park permits, collect fees, and monitor vehicles for valid permits. </li><li>Assist with event preparation, set-up, and operation. </li><li>Provide information and assistance to the general public. </li><li>Prepare receipt records, daily deposits, and other records to provide proper accounting of activities. </li><li>Assisted in providing clean, well-maintained, and safe facilities by performing janitorial duties and maintenance work, including operating mowers and driving Parks vehicles. </li><li>Perform related work as required. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Required Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma (or GED equivalent) </li><li>Minimum age of 18 years old </li><li>No experience required </li></ul> <p>Required Licenses or Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Valid Michigan driver's license </li></ul> <p>30 positions: Variable hours, days, evenings, weekends & holidays. 20-40 hours per week focusing on customer service in County Parks and campgrounds, performing light maintenance duties, and cleaning park facilities.</p> <p>7 positions: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm, focusing on mowing, trimming, and park maintenance.</p> <p>Drug testing is a requirement for this position.</p> <p>Starting Salary: $16.42</p> <p>Part-time 20 - 40 hrs. weekly, hours vary</p> <p>Position : 10280001</p> <p>Code : 26026-1</p> <p>Type : INTERNAL & EXTERNAL</p> <p>Job Family : FACILITIES</p> <p>Posting Start : 02/02/2026</p> <p>Posting End : 12/31/9999</p> <p>HOURLY RATE RANGE: $16.42-$16.42</p>
