<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Part time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Come join our Pharmacy team at Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Supports pharmacists in all aspects of pharmacy activities. This includes maintaining Pyxis stock levels by loading and refilling medications including narcotics for all in-patients. Prepares and compounds neonatal oral liquids, and other extemporaneous products. Packages and distributes drugs and sterile products.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform general pharmacy duties by assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing duties including deliveries, checking stock levels and picking medications.</p> </li><li> <p>Answer telephones, assist nurses trouble-shooting Pyxis questions and drawer maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect assigned nursing units for proper drug storage, stability and expiration dates as well as maintaining proper drug reliability in the pharmacy</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain records of orders, processes patient charges and collects productivity statistics</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a hospital-based, community college or military technician training program preferable.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience strongly preferred; IV and compounding experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Current state (CT) registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required</p> </li><li> <p>Pharmacy Technician I: PTCB National certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required within 1 year of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Pharmacy Technician II: PTCB National certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Part time 24hrs mostly days -shift and weekend differentials will apply</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent benefits even for part time - starting day 1!</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Saint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
