<p>Overview</p> <p>Summer Intern - Finance</p> <p>(Non-Remote)</p> <p>Gain interest in more than just savings-explore a career in banking with United Community!</p> <p>Our internship program offers hands-on experience and a unique opportunity to learn the core principles of the financial services industry. Over the course of this 10-week program, interns will gain exposure to key banking areas and processes and how they function across departments. You'll work alongside experienced professionals, build valuable skills, and explore career paths in banking.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Support Investor Day: Assist with planning and executing United's on-site Investor Day event in June 2026. This project offers hands-on experience in event coordination and exposure to investor relations, including how we communicate with shareholders, potential investors, and analysts.. </li><li>Automate Quarterly Earnings Process: Lead a high-impact project to improve efficiency and internal controls in preparing our quarterly earnings deck. You'll migrate the deck from Excel and PowerPoint to WDesk, the software we use for public filings such as the 10-K and 10-Q. </li><li>Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to additional projects as needed, providing flexibility and opportunities to learn across different areas of Finance, Treasury, FP&A, and Investor Relations. </li></ul> <p>Requirements For Success</p> <ul> <li>College students or rising high school graduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA or better </li><li>Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience </li><li>Energetic, organized, detail-oriented with proficiency in Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams) and comfort using modern workplace technology. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective in both one-on-one and group settings </li><li>Independent worker </li><li>Ability to dedicate 35-40 hours per week to this intern program </li><li>Ability to work in-office in Greenville, SC </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to pass a criminal background and credit check </li><li>This is a full-time non-remote position </li></ul> <p>Start Date & Work Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Start Date: June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026 </li><li>Schedule: 35-40 hours per week </li></ul> <p>FLSA Status:</p> <ul> <li>Non-Exempt </li></ul> <p>Make a smart deposit into your career-apply for our internship now!</p> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.</p> <p>Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>USD $22.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.</p>
