This role will drive process improvements and support efficient and cost-effective measures to remain safe and cost competitive. This role will require a strong background in manufacturing processes, lean principles, and team leadership, with the ability to manage multiple projects at multiple sites and collaborate cross functionally with all major stakeholders. It is imperative this individual upholds Zero Zone's reputation for innovation while adhering to local and national regulations.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment to enhance safety, quality, and productivity</p> </li><li> <p>Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other process optimization methodologies</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate cross functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and support for new and existing products</p> </li><li> <p>Plan and manage capital improvement projects including equipment selection, layout design, and implementation</p> </li><li> <p>Establish and track key performance indicators (KPI's) to measure tam performance and identify improvement opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for process related issues and non-conformances</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process flows, and control plans</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements for Effective Performance:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering</p> </li><li> <p>6+ years of experience as manufacturing engineer, with 3+ years in leadership or managerial role</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to collaborate with program managers, manufacturing leads, customers, and functional leads, and to provide daily direction and guidance to team</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</p> </li></ul> <p>Skills/Abilities/Specifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prior knowledge of advanced product quality planning (APQP) and production part approval process (PPAP)</p> </li><li> <p>General refrigeration technical skills and knowledge</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience building small prototypes</p> </li><li> <p>3D Printing experience</p> </li><li> <p>Practical knowledge of Lean tools implementation</p> </li><li> <p>Lean and/or Six Sigma Certification</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of Quality Management Systems</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical & Behavioral</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regularly required to stand or walk; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, usually from the floor to waist level, up to 20 feet away</p> </li><li> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus</p> </li><li> <p>Requires the use of safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes while in production areas</p> </li><li> <p>Zero Zone expects all employees to behave and communicate in a manner which will facilitate good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors: maintaining a positive work atmosphere</p> </li></ul>
