<p>Primary Function</p> <p>Responsible for the direction operation and management of the Pharmacy Department.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform supervisory responsibilities such as hiring interviewing conducting performance evaluations providing disciplinary action and recommending alary increases. </li><li>Make recommendations for changes and improvements deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the pharmacy department. </li><li>Comply with all federal state and Hospital regulatory policies and procedures. </li><li>Coordinate pharmacy activities within the department via assistant director supervisors and charge pharmacists as well as outside the department through committee process or liaison activity. </li><li>Prepare reports and implement budget. Provide and submit required records to assist and respond to auditors. </li><li>Maintain current knowledge of specialty by attending seminars in-services and reading journals. </li><li>Observe and enforce all hospital policies, rules and regulations. </li><li>Performs all other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Job Qualifications and Specifications</p> <p>A Masters or other advanced degree in Pharmacy and a minimum of five years job- related experience or equivalent is required.
