<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Baptist Health Medical Group</p> <p>Medical Assistant</p> <p>Gastro</p> <p>St. Matthews area</p> <p>Full time/First shift</p> <p>The Medical Assistant III assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the physician/provider. Areas of clinical practice include patients of all ages in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and most Specialty Practices. Key accountabilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists physician with all tasks associated with patient care as requested, within the scope of practice and certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Interacts with patients, patient family and caregivers in a professional and courteous manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists other clinical personnel as needed and interacts with the other healthcare providers to facilitate a smooth continuum of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with coverage of Patient Access areas.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures/Certifications/Registrations Required:</p> <p>Applicant must have graduated from one or more of the following programs and have a current certificate or license in that area:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program with current CMA certification from AAMA, AMT or NCCT.</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate of an approved practical nursing program with current Kentucky LPN Licensure.</p> </li><li> <p>Graduate of an accredited RN program with current Kentucky RN Licensure.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support and other advanced training as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer skills preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Medical Assistant, MA, CMA, Certified Medical Assistant, Clinical, Office, Clinic, RMA, Registered Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, RN, Registered Nurse, LPN</p> <p>If you would like to be part of a growing family focused on supporting clinical excellence, teamwork and innovation, we urge you to apply now!</p> <p>Baptist Health is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.</p>
