<p>Summer Associate - Seed Coalition Summer VISTA</p> <p>Seed Coalition's Summer VISTA Associates will be placed in community organizations and on college campuses to work on projects focusing on health access, food insecurity, and program building. Summer Associates will serve organizations by developing partnerships and programs to increase food and healthcare access, creating materials such as data systems or volunteer training manuals, directly serving food pantries and community clinics, and organizing and contributing to research on public health. Seed Coalition strengthens the capacity of colleges and universities to fulfill the public purposes of higher education through its network of campuses across the Midwest. This includes educating students through community and civic learning experiences and making an impact in communities through reciprocal partnerships that address community-identified goals. Seed Co creates partnership opportunities, supports quality programming through professional development, and promotes the importance of the civic mission. The Seed Coalition VISTA Community Corps strives to eliminate poverty through campus-community partnerships by placing capacity building support in nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.</p> <p>Member Duties : Members of the Seed Coalition AmeriCorps VISTA Summer Associate program will serve for ten weeks, receiving a modest bi-weekly living allowance and the choice of an end-of-service education award or cash stipend. Applications will be considered by the host sites on a rolling basis, until April 27.
