<p>Nature of Work</p> <p>Special Hiring Rates:</p> <p>$64,171.95 - West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg, WV (SPB 2961).</p> <p>Appointment Incentive:</p> <p>$5,347.50 at WV Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg, WV</p> <p>The Nurse 3 deals primarily with the treatment of residents who suffer from geriatric disorders, and medical problems and mental health conditions. They are schooled in basic nursing care with further training in dealing with and controlling residents in varying levels of medical conditions, whether acute or chronic or degenerative cognitive breakdown such as dementia. Nurse 3s are usually assigned a caseload of specific residents and provide supervision of direct care to their residents, supervising the resident's medication schedule, facilitating the social and emotional needs of residents and evaluating residents' progress. The Nurse 3 must collaborate with a variety of interdisciplinary professionals to determine and provide the best possible individualized care for their residents. As many residents are hospitalized because they have acute or chronic conditions, nurses are responsible for maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff through the use of monitoring systems and interventions techniques where deemed necessary as per policy. In addition to the basic nurse duties the Nurse 3 is responsible for evaluation of subordinate employees.
