<p>Execute workorders to process and fabricate germanium and silicon-based crystals into functional radiation detection diodes. The user will be handling acids and other chemicals, as well as use and perform routine maintenance of evaporators, sputtering machines, and other systems.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Final surface preparation of germanium crystals. </li><li>Final surface preparation of silicon elements. </li><li>Operate ion implanter and vacuum deposition equipment. </li><li>Equipment maintenance. </li><li>Test finished crystals. </li><li>Trouble shoot process problems. </li><li>Train junior techs for processing when necessary. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting in executing regular inventory audits. </li><li>Cleaning and organizing work areas. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated vacuum deposition experience. </li><li>Demonstrated Ion implanter operation experience. </li><li>Demonstrated vacuum equipment maintenance experience. </li><li>Mastery of detector fabrication related chemical processing. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle chemicals per defined procedures and safety standards. </li><li>Ability to handle small, detailed work pieces. </li><li>Demonstrated surface inspection experience. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to keep accurate records. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to execute daily assigned work orders. </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>A keen eye for detail inspection. </li><li>Inspection experience, some microscope usage. </li></ul> <p>AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <p>2-4 years prior experience.</p> <p>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.</p>
