<p>Bonnell Aluminum is actively seeking a results-oriented Accountant who will report to the Plant Controller in the Carthage, Tennessee Plant. The accountant will be responsible for key accounting functions as well as supporting the overall Bonnell business. Highly motivated and team-oriented, this person will possess an excellent knowledge of U.S. accounting practices. The accountant will have the ability to balance detailed transactional work with accounting/financial projects.</p> <p>What You'll Be Responsible For:</p> <ul> <li>Perform month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, resulting in timely and accurate financial reports for both internal and external users. </li><li>Assume control and ownership of the Account Reconciliation System ARCHs. </li><li>Perform all Intercompany work and ensure intercompany is in balance for every Bonnell location and company code. </li><li>Handle the accounting for all Benefit general ledger accounts. </li><li>Research accounting issues and in collaboration with Plant Controller and SOX Coordinator, recommend appropriate accounting treatment. Support the Plant Controller in establishing, implementing, and monitoring accounting policies. </li><li>Support Sox compliance by properly performing assigned Sox controls. </li><li>Assist with the coordination of the development, design and implementation of consistent accounting and finance processes and procedures. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting </li><li>Experience with multi-entity manufacturing organizations a plus </li><li>5+ years of accounting/financial reporting experience required, including knowledge of GAAP and previous experience in SOX compliance activities. </li><li>Strong communication (oral and written), analytical, organization, planning and project management skills. </li><li>Advanced level proficiency with Excel, Word, and accounting-related software. </li><li>ERP system experience. AS400 experience is a plus. Currently using JD Edwards. </li><li>Ability to recognize financial and tax issues that require contacting appropriate resources in Bonnell and Tredegar. </li><li>Ability to identify and implement process and other improvements, partnering with others as needed. </li></ul>
