These services include the interdependent provision of primary care, gynecologic and family planning services, preconception care, care during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. These responsibilities are consistent with the core competencies for basic midwifery practice adopted by the American College of Nurse-Midwives as adopted by the California Board of Registered Nursing.</p> <p>The CNM will work at both Santa Monica Hospital and Ronald Reagan (Westwood).</p> <p>Salary range: $83.25-$119.28/hourly</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <ul> <li>CA RN License- required </li><li>Successful completion of a Master's level Nurse Midwifery program that is recognized and certified through the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) and the California Board of Registered Nursing -required </li><li>CA NM license and ACNM Certification -required </li><li>Nurse Midwife Furnishing Number -required </li><li>BCLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Certification-required </li><li>A minimum of 3 years experience as Labor and Delivery Nurse -required </li><li>Experience as a CNM-strongly preferred </li><li>Ability to function under the Certified Nurse Midwife Practice Guidelines which have been established and annually reviewed-required </li><li>Skill in comparing/inspecting patient care and judging whether it is similar to or different from prescribed standards-required </li><li>Ability to speak on a one-to-one basis to persons of various social, cultural, economic or educational backgrounds, using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain information, explain policies and procedures, provide information or resolve conflicts-required </li><li>Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner when there are changes in workload, changes in assignments, pressures of deadlines, competitive requirements and/or a heavy workload-required </li><li>Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal supervision. Skill in working with frequent interruptions and distractions, under conditions of fluctuating workload-required </li><li>Skill in using the Electronic Medical Records (Epic experience preferred)-required </li><li>Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required </li><li>Demonstrated writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required </li><li>Ability to document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required </li><li>CNM2 : 6+ months exp or more as CNM </li></ul>
