<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Under general supervision, responsible for the efficient operation of service, traditional and/or prison industry enhancement (PIE) program within a correctional setting for a potential multi shift operation while adhering to our agency mission. </li><li>Supervise employee/inmate workers screen, select, train and evaluate assigned personnel. </li><li>Provide rehabilitation and self-improvement opportunities for inmates. </li><li>Supervise activity within manufacturing operations to maintain a high production volume, ensuring high quality standards. </li><li>Ensure adequate supplies are maintained and available to workers. </li><li>Maintain proper preventative maintenance on all equipment. </li><li>Responsible for the security of the workplace and to keep area safe for inmates, employees and the public. </li><li>Serve as a Correctional Officer in maintaining internal security of the plant, inmates, and surrounding areas. </li><li>Perform shakedowns and escort inmates as required. </li><li>Supervise and perform administrative functions as assigned/required. </li><li>Serve as Plant Manager as needed. </li></ul> <p>Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.</p> <p>Questions regarding the application process, this job posting or any other postings with the SCDC should be directed to:</p> <p>Recruiting and Employment Services</p> <p>(803) 896-1649</p> <p>Employment@doc.sc.gov</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:</p> <p>A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
