<p>The Position</p> <p>Social Services Chiefs manage the overall design, analysis, development and evaluation of social services programs.</p> <p>Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.</p> <p>The Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) Child Care and Development Program (CCDP) is seeking a Social Services Chief 2. Social Services Chiefs manage the overall workflow, analysis, development and evaluation of social services programs. Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate staff; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives. Under general direction from the Agency Manager, the Social Services Chief 2 will be responsible for the implementation of policy for Child Care eligibility, program policy, contract management, and coordination of fiscal duties that include payments. Responsibilities include interpreting, applying, and explaining various childcare policies, compliance with program requirements and regulations; developing, implementing, and managing quality assurance; customer service; State Plan alignment and implementation. The incumbent will serve as the Child Care Chief overseeing the daily activities and directing operations of both Carson City and Las Vegas staff. The position will report directly to The Divisions' Agency Manager for Child Care.
