<p>Job Description</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>Our Driver Helpers ride with and assist the Delivery Driver on our local routes for the purpose of delivering and/or unloading various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods) for restaurants, delicatessens, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, convenience stores, supermarkets and other foodservice outlets in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT)regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists the driver in the safe and accurate delivery of the product to customers in a timely and efficient manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Responds timely to management and others in regards to delivery information.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires accurate identification of product to ensure the correct product, in satisfactory condition, is located on the trailer/truck and unloaded at customer locations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent</p> <p>Must be able to work overtime when needed</p> <p>Must be able to lift, carry up to 50lbs.</p> <p>Must be able to work an early morning schedule.</p>
