<p>Description: The Supply & Demand Planning Manager will own end-to-end demand planning and supply alignment across wholesale, Amazon, and direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels for a growing water filtration business. This role requires a strong combination of analytical rigor, commercial acumen, and cross-functional leadership to translate diverse demand signals into an actionable, executable plan.</p> <p>This individual will be responsible for integrating multiple data sources, understanding channel-specific dynamics, and driving a disciplined SIOP / IBP process that balances service, inventory, and financial outcomes.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Demand Planning & Forecasting</p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain a rolling demand forecast across wholesale, Amazon, and DTC channels using multiple demand signals (sell-through, sell-in, POS, consumption, historical trends, and commercial inputs). </li><li>Translate consumption and customer behavior into executable sell-in demand plans with clear assumptions and documented drivers. </li><li>Lead monthly demand reviews, highlighting forecast changes, risks, opportunities, and impacts versus budget and prior outlooks. </li></ul> <p>Data & Analytics</p> <ul> <li>Integrate and synthesize complex data sets, including: </li><li>Customer POS and consumption data </li><li>Sell-in / sell-out data </li><li>Promotional plans </li><li>Amazon content, inventory, and velocity metrics </li><li>DTC web traffic, conversion, and demand trends </li><li>Own forecast accuracy, bias, and volatility metrics; identify root causes and drive continuous improvement. </li><li>Partner with Finance to align demand plans with budget, outlook, and financial commitments. </li></ul> <p>Channel & Commercial Expertise</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate deep understanding of wholesaler dynamics, including ordering behavior, inventory positioning, service level expectations, and promotional impacts. </li><li>Own Amazon-specific demand dynamics, including: </li><li>Lean inventory cycles </li><li>Replenishment constraints </li><li>Forecast confidence ranges </li><li>Promotional and content-driven demand shifts </li><li>Partner with eCommerce and Marketing teams to incorporate DTC demand drivers, campaign impacts, and product launches into the forecast. </li></ul> <p>Supply & Cross-Functional Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Translate demand plans into clear supply requirements for Operations, Procurement, and Manufacturing. </li><li>Proactively identify supply risks or demand-supply mismatches and drive mitigation plans. </li><li>Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to ensure alignment across the SIOP / IBP process </li></ul> <p>Process & Governance</p> <ul> <li>Embed discipline and structure into the monthly SIOP cadence, ensuring demand discussions are action-oriented and decision-driven. </li><li>Own Risks & Opportunities (R&O) tracking and communication as part of the demand planning process. </li><li>Continuously evolve planning tools, reporting, and governance to improve transparency and decision quality </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>7+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or SIOP roles within related Mass Retail, Consumer products, durable goods, or water filtration businesses </li><li>Proven experience managing demand across Direct and wholesale (Amazon Preferred) channels. </li><li>Knowledge and experiences working with 3PL providers (Ryder Preferred) </li><li>Strong understanding of wholesaler ordering patterns, distributor inventory dynamics, and retail replenishment behavior. </li><li>Hands-on experience with Amazon demand planning, including consumption-based forecasting and inventory signal interpretation. </li><li>Advanced analytical skills with the ability to manage, interpret, and connect multiple data sources into a clear demand story. </li><li>Experience working with multiple ERP systems and demand planning tools & bridging data together </li><li>Experience working with Direct Manufacturing to align on production forecasts </li><li>Ability to forecast supply needs that tie out to inventory levels across an extended horizon </li><li>Strong Excel proficiency required. </li><li>Ability to communicate complex data and trade-offs clearly to executive and cross-functional stakeholders. </li><li>Power BI / Dashboard experience strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>Competencies:?To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies in this position; Analytical skills, Problem Solving, Communication and Influence skills. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
