Join a team of leaders dedicated to building a safer community through service excellence.</p> <p>Under the direction of the District Chief, the Battalion Chief oversees assigned battalions and is responsible for managing fire department operations, personnel, and resources during an assigned shift. This command-level position ensures operational readiness, leads emergency responses, supervises company officers, apparatus operators, and firefighters, and plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, mentoring, and community risk reduction efforts.</p> <p>This position is part of the department's critical workforce and may serve as an Incident Commander, Branch Director, or Division/Group Supervisor during critical incidents and may be assigned to special projects or administrative duties in support of the department's mission, vision, and values.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the department with high ethical and moral standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead, supervise, and mentor assigned fire personnel;
