This role will provide exemplary customer service by managing total absence claims in a timely and accurate fashion.</p> <p>Job Location: Must be commutable distance to MetLife Office, Oriskany NY (Central NY)</p> <p>IN OFFICE TRAINING - 4 WEEKS</p> <p>In office once a month for office meetings</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Handle, review, and administer Family & Medical Leave Act standalone (as well as other leave) claims and adhere to federal and state regulatory and/or company plan requirements and established FMLA workflow procedures and evaluate against appropriate leave plans and make initial claim decisions. </li><li>Complete eligibility decisions during intake call, gather pertinent data when necessary, from employee or other supporting systems as well as perform leave follow-ups as required, including recertification of health condition, intermittent claim tracking, RTW confirmation, etc. </li><li>Update systems to accurately reflect leave status and ensure appropriate diary documentation exists. </li></ul> <p>Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma </li><li>2+ yrs. related experience and strong customer satisfaction focus and attention to detail </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree </li><li>Knowledge of system applications and Disability claims knowledge/working knowledge of FMLA/Disability/Leave procedures preferred </li></ul> <p>Business Category</p> <p>Operations - Claims</p> <p>The salary range for applicants for this position is $45,450.</p> <p>Benefits We Offer</p> <p>Our U.S. benefits address holistic well-being with programs for physical and mental health, financial wellness, and support for families.
