<p>UPMC Children's Hospital is currently seeking a Full-Time Community Program Specialist. The Community Program Specialist develops and coordinates community events, education, and health and safety programs.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate all aspects of community education and safety programs which may include planning, registration, speaker and site selection, materials and supplies distribution, new topic development, evaluation, program promotion, budget and grant writing. Recruit regional schools to implement programs in their curriculum. </li><li>Establishes and implements program specific policies and procedures and organizational structures based on best practices to meet program objectives and growth. </li><li>Participate in injury prevention programs as requested. </li><li>Serve as primary liaison between the local program and national organization. Attend national and local meetings as necessary. </li><li>Contributes to continuous improvement effort, including strategic planning, setting and evaluation of department goals and objectives. </li><li>Submit annual program summary and evaluation for inclusion in report to program funding source. </li><li>Collaborate with multiple service providers, internal and external to the organization to identify and address community health and safety needs and concerns. Communicate information to all responsible parties. </li><li>Coordinate all aspects of CHP's participation in various community events, health fairs and educational programs. </li><li>Coordinate education programs for parents, staff and residents. Hold regular education sessions and provides feedback to appropriate personnel on educational progress. </li><li>Manages all aspects of community engagement component of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, including scheduling, promotion, and community partner relationships </li><li>Collaborates with both Children's and RMHC marketing teams to develop outreach and communication plans </li><li>Leads development of immunization campaign efforts </li><li>Consistently evaluates Care Mobile procedures to identify opportunities and develop quality improvement initiatives </li><li>Serves as a liaison between Care Mobile clinical team and community partners </li><li>Maintains collaboration with Care Mobile clinical manager and staff as well as Children's Primary Care Center clinical team in order to serve PCC patients in the community via the Care Mobile </li><li>Analyzes healthcare utilization data to determine areas of greatest need for Care Mobile deployment </li><li>Supervises National Health Corps members and service-learning interns working with the Health & Prevention team </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in Education, Marketing, Communications, Health Education or 3 years of community health, injury prevention, education, communications or marketing experience. </li></ul> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <ul> <li>Clearances with renewal: </li><li>31, 33, 34, & 73 </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
