<p>Job Summary: Provides comprehensive and emergency dental care with primary focus on examination, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric population.</p> <p>Requirements: Must possess a Doctorate degree or foreign equivalent in Dental Surgery or Dentistry and any one of the following: one year of a General Practice Residency program in the US, or two years of pediatric residency program in the US, or three years of dentistry practice.</p> <p>Specific skills and other requirements: Must possess valid Dentistry license to practice in State of Pennsylvania. Must be board-certified by the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners (NERB) or The Commission on Dental Competency Assessments.</p> <p>Essential Functions: Provides comprehensive and emergency dental care with primary focus on examination, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric population; complies with health center safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements; acts as primary dental care provider for patients; provides comprehensive dental care to adult and pediatric populations; timely completes all patient charts including medical history consultations, treatment plans, and progress notes; diagnoses and treats diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums and related oral structures; diagnoses, and treats emergency dental situations; provides preventative care (cleanings, x-rays, sealants); provides restorative care (fillings, pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, extraction); provides complex care including replacement of missing teeth via fixed or removable prosthetics; provides basic appliance therapy (space maintenance and occlusal guards); plans and provides multidisciplinary oral health care for patients with special needs; reviews medical history and evaluates patient's oral condition; addresses urgent/emergent dental problems and emergency patient concerns in dental medicine department; develops and implements patient dental education programs in accordance with currently acceptable dental practices. Will work at other locations within the Allentown metro area. Must possess a Doctorate degree or foreign equivalent in Dental Surgery or Dentistry and any one of the following: one year of a General Practice Residency program in the US, or two years of pediatric residency program in the US, or three years of dentistry practice. Must possess valid Dentistry license to practice in State of Pennsylvania.
