Completes accessioning of surgical pathology specimens into the Anatomic Pathology information system (CoPath). Provides outstanding customer service to any person requesting supplies or information by telephone, computer, or in person.</p> <p>Here's what you'll do</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for accurately maintaining and filing all glass tissue slides and paraffin tissue blocks generated by the department of pathology. Duties include numerical assembly by case year, tracking of specimens, and maintenance of two filing locations (EMS and Bldg #159). </li><li>Performs duties for preanalytical testing according to standard operating procedures including specimen transport, data entry, and specimen tracking. Receives and evaluates all specimens to ensure positive identification and appropriateness of sample. Interacts positively with customers and staff.
