<p>SPECIAL ED: Full-Time, 10-Month Autistic Support Paraprofessional (Grades 4-6) and Personal Care Assistant (K-3) JobID: 1319</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Paraprofessionals/Autistic Support Paraprofessional</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/16/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Dallastown Intermediate School</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>08/03/2025</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>The Dallastown Area School District has two (2) Full-Time, 10-Month Autistic Support vacancies as designated below:</p> <ul> <li>Paraprofessional for Dallastown Area Intermediate School (Grades 4-6) </li><li>Personal Care Assistant (PCA) for Loganville-Springfield Elementary School (Grades K-3) </li></ul> <p>As an instructional paraprofessional, you'll play a valuable role in inspiring and creating pathways for student success by supporting special education teachers in the delivery of supports and services for students with IEPs.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Able to carry out oral and written instructions including those in the student's IEP to allow access to the educational environment. </li><li>Assisting teachers in presentation and development of learning materials and instructional exercises </li><li>Performing routine clerical work </li><li>Working with instructional media, office machines, and equipment </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule / Pay Periods for 10-Month Positions:</p> <ul> <li>Full-day hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, which is 7.50 working hours and a 30-minute unpaid lunch period. </li><li>Your work schedule and pay will follow student attendance full and half days during the school year -- approximately 177 student days mid-August through early June. Additional days may be arranged by your supervisor. </li><li>While there are typically no pay periods July through August, you'll enjoy summers off to spend more time with your family! </li><li>For a full school year, your bi-weekly pays will typically begin by mid-September and continue through late-June. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Immediate/continued inclusion in Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS) </li><li>Three (3) Paid Holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day </li><li>After a successful Probationary Period of 90 calendar days, you'll receive Paid Leave: 3 Personal Days and 10 Sick Days </li><li>If applicable, Paid Bereavement Leave and Jury Duty Supplemental Pay </li><li>Other availabie benefits: a Tax-Sheltered Annuity Program, Dental and/or Vision Insurance with a $0 premium for the employee-only level, Health Insurance with two (2) options or opt-out for bi-weekly stipend, OSS Company Direct Program with no cost to employee (if health insurance plan is elected), several pharmacy/prescription programs for reducing or eliminating your costs, a Flexible Spending Account Program to set aside pre-tax dollars to cover out-of-pocket medical and/or dependent care expenses not covered by your selected plan, an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Capital Blue Fitness Your Way program, and Life Insurance. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Highly Qualified = High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) AND completion of an assessment through our special educaton department,</p> </li><li> <p>OR, Completed at least two years of postsecondary study (48 credit hours or more)</p> </li><li> <p>OR, Associate's Degree or higher,</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of at least 20 hours of staff development activities related to assignment each school year</p> </li><li> <p>Child-centered, warm, and receptive to children</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to carry out oral and written communications/instructions and work cooperatively with others</p> </li><li> <p>Acceptable record of attendance</p> </li></ul> <p>Dallastown Area School District is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).</p>
