<p>Overview</p> <p>We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist II, also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Ultrasound Tech II. The Ultrasound Tech II performs advanced ultrasound services and diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. Ultrasound Technologists play a critical role in the diagnostic process by providing high-quality ultrasound images that assist healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.</p> <p>Shifts Available: Days</p> <p>Employment Type: Part Time (30 hours each week)</p> <p>Hours: 10-hour shifts</p> <p>Location: St Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO</p> <p>Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:</p> <ul> <li>Health, dental, and vision insurance options </li><li>Paid vacation, sick time and holidays </li><li>Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options </li><li>Employer 401K options </li><li>Tuition reimbursement options </li><li>Life, disability, and other insurance options </li><li>Many other amazing benefits </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for managing more complex patient cases and providing specialized care to patients with unique medical needs or conditions, this could involve collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop tailored imaging plans and treatment strategies </li><li>Operate ultrasound machines to produce real-time images of patients' internal organs, tissues, and blood flow, select appropriate imaging techniques and settings to capture clear and accurate images based on the specific clinical indication or area of interest </li><li>Use a handheld transducer (probe) to transmit high-frequency sound waves into the body and capture the returning echoes to create images, manipulate the transducer and adjust imaging parameters to obtain multiple views and optimize image quality </li><li>Interpret ultrasound images in real-time to assess the structure, size, shape, and function of organs and tissues within the body, identify any abnormalities, lesions, or pathology that may be present and communicate findings to radiologists or referring physicians </li><li>May perform Doppler ultrasound studies to evaluate blood flow patterns and detect abnormalities such as vascular occlusions, stenosis, or thrombosis </li><li>Proficient in using advanced imaging techniques and technologies, such as contrast-enhanced ultrasound, or ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies, aspirations, injections, thoracentesis, and paracentesis procedures) </li><li>Perform a wider range of ultrasound examinations, including more complex or specialized imaging studies, this could involve imaging of specific organs or systems, such as obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, abdominal, cardiac, or musculoskeletal ultrasound </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
