This role is ideal for a recent graduate seeking hands-on exposure to the full employee lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on scheduling, communications, process tracking, and cross-functional coordination. You'll help keep the People programs running smoothly by organizing details, maintaining trackers, sending communications, and escalating issues to the right partners.</p> <p>This is a hybrid role with the expectation that you are in the office at least 1-2 days a week. The role will initially be a 6-month contract with the opportunity of turning it into a full-time role.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Onboarding and Offboarding</p> <ul> <li>Assist with new hire onboarding logistics, including: </li><li>Coordinating IT tickets for equipment and systems access </li><li>Preparing and sending new hire welcome emails </li><li>Assembling individualized onboarding schedules with hiring teams </li><li>Scheduling I-9 appointments and supporting E-Verify steps as needed </li><li>Support offboarding logistics by submitting/monitoring IT deactivation tickets and coordinating equipment return </li></ul> <p>Employee Lifecycle Support</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and send manager reminders for 45-day, 90-day, and 6-month check-ins; track completion </li><li>Draft and send service anniversaries emails; maintain the anniversaries tracker </li><li>Assist with scheduling and logistics for employees returning from leave (calendar set-up, manager/IT coordination, access reinstatement) </li><li>Support standard employment verification requests by preparing letters, completing forms, and coordinating with payroll/HR as needed; escalate exceptions </li></ul> <p>Learning and Development (L&D) and Intern Program Support</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate L&D scheduling: calendar invites, room/virtual logistics, materials, and attendee communications </li><li>Send post-session surveys and track participation/responses </li><li>Maintain L&D content on the intranet, ensuring schedules and resources are current </li><li>Assist with PO submission and tracking for L&D vendors; support invoice processing and basic contract coordination </li><li>Support Intern Program logistics: recruitment coordination (posting roles, scheduling interviews), onboarding support, training calendars, and communications </li></ul> <p>People Operations and Intranet</p> <ul> <li>Update and maintain People pages on the intranet </li><li>Provide front-line People inbox support: route questions, share resources, and escalate to HR team members appropriately </li><li>Help maintain People trackers and shared files (onboarding, check-ins, leaves, POs, surveys) </li><li>Assist with "Speed Connections" or similar employee engagement/networking sessions: scheduling, invites, attendance tracking, and intranet updates </li></ul> <p>IT and Cross-Functional Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Submit, monitor, and escalate IT support tickets for new hires, role changes, and departures </li><li>Partner with Payroll, Benefits, and Operations on routine process steps and timelines </li><li>Keep stakeholders informed through timely reminders and status updates </li></ul> <p>General Administrative Support</p> <ul> <li>Calendar and meeting scheduling for People events and recurring touchpoints </li><li>Light document preparation and data entry with attention to confidentiality </li><li>Assist with ad-hoc People projects as assigned </li></ul> <p>Experience that contributes to success:</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or related field </li><li>Strong organization and attention to detail; reliable follow-through on deadlines </li><li>Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Teams or similar tools; familiarity with HRIS, ticketing systems, survey tools, or intranet is a plus </li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion </li><li>Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Customer-service mindset and a collaborative working style </li></ul> <p>What You'll Gain:</p> <ul> <li>Practical experience supporting the employee lifecycle from onboarding to engagement </li><li>Exposure to L&D program logistics, survey/report tracking, and intranet content management </li><li>Experience collaborating with IT, Payroll, Benefits, and Operations </li><li>Foundational People operations skills, including PO tracking, scheduling, and process documentation </li></ul> <p>#LI-AB1</p> <p>GCI Group is an equal opportunity employer and considers applicants for all positions without discrimination or regard to particular characteristics.
