<p>In our 'always on' world, we believe it's essential to have a genuine connection with the work you do.</p> <p>We are looking for an Engineering Technician to test copper products with established work instructions to evaluate product performance and collect data that provides evidence of conformance to product requirements.</p> <p>How You'll Help Us Connect the World:</p> <p>Project</p> <ul> <li>Conduct electrical transmission, mechanical, and environmental tests of copper cabling and/or copper connectivity to assess compliance with product requirements. </li><li>Collect, record, analyze and report test data. </li><li>Follow the testing schedule and provide status in the lab request system. </li><li>Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to analyze and report data. </li><li>Assist in performing failure analysis. </li><li>Utilize custom computer software used with test equipment to acquire data. </li><li>Review and approval of test plans and reports if required. </li><li>Utilize the test request system to update the test status. </li><li>Communicate issues to the test engineer in a timely manner. </li></ul> <p>Department</p> <ul> <li>Follow department safety and efficiency programs. </li><li>Participate in test equipment maintenance and validations if required. </li><li>Complete training on lab processes, procedures and test methods as required. </li><li>Position has growth potential with one additional technician title, each with increasing responsibilities. </li><li>Collaboration with current lab staff, which includes other test engineers and technicians, in a team-oriented environment. </li><li>Familiarity with a wide range of copper cabling and connectivity or equivalent. </li><li>Provides training and coaching for other technicians. </li><li>May lead and direct other technicians. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications for Consideration:</p> <ul> <li>High level of competency with corporate, business unit and lab quality management system documentation. </li><li>Understanding of industry standards for copper cabling and connectivity and the range of lab test equipment. </li><li>High level of competency with fiber optic products and technical principles. </li></ul> <p>You Will Excite Us If You Have:</p> <ul> <li>Laboratory experience in a corporate environment or internship </li><li>Previous experience working in a lab environment </li><li>Solid interpersonal abilities, including excellent writing skills. </li><li>Skilled at planning and the ability to pay attention to details. </li></ul> <p>What Happens After You Apply:</p> <p>Learn how to prepare yourself for the next steps in our hiring process by visiting</p>
