<p>GENERAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The Career and Technical Education ACTED 2 - Fin. Specialist will be a part of the Hammond Area Career Center Core team and will be involved in carrying out the duties assigned by the CTE D2 Director.</p> <p>Primary Duties:</p> <p>? Work cooperatively with all personnel within CTE District #2 (10 current high schools/9 school corporations), responsible for student success.</p> <p>? Assist with community activities within the CTE District #2.</p> <p>? Assist with the implementation of business, industry, labor, and post-secondary involvement in each program.</p> <p>? Assist with maintaining and keeping accurate records within the CTE department.</p> <p>? Assist with the development and implementation of student interest efforts to identify new program areas for development and implementation at the Hammond ACC.</p> <p>? Seek opportunities to assist and support the efforts of career & technical education goals and objectives.</p> <p>? Collaborate with stakeholders to collect data, support the development of programs, and monitor program effectiveness.</p> <p>? Collaborate with teams to recommend, implement, and monitor proposed improvements.</p> <p>? Participate in professional development activities at the local, regional, state, and national levels.</p> <p>? Proactively engage with local businesses and organizations to establish partnerships aimed at facilitating opportunities for students.</p> <p>? Collaborate with industry leaders to assist in designing and implementing programs that meet educational requirements while providing real-world experiences.</p> <p>? Assist with the planning and implementation of the Hammond ACC Open House program.</p> <p>? Serve as an active member of the Hammond ACC CTE Core team.</p> <p>? Establish professional and personal objectives that augment CTE District #2 and the Hammond ACC.</p> <p>? Perform other job-related tasks delegated by the CTE Director.</p> <p>Specific Knowledge and Qualification Requirements:</p> <p>? Ability to operate a variety of equipment, including computers, copiers, and presenters.</p> <p>? Ability to listen and communicate effectively to gather, convey, or exchange information, including giving instructions, assignments, or directions.</p> <p>? Ability to respond appropriately to inquiries or complaints.</p> <p>? Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare various kinds of communication and information, including emails, correspondence, reports, articles, spreadsheets, program development plans, educational forms, and data.</p> <p>GENERAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT:</p> <p>Proficient use of Microsoft and Google Applications. Proficient in electronic database management, software updates, data retrieval, and report generation. Daily use of modern production procedures, communication devices, and multi-organizational procedures.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>This position requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), five (5) years of general clerical experience. Additional experience in the PowerSchool student information system, working with business partners, and relationships with D2 schools is desirable.</p> <p>PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES DESIRED:</p> <p>This position is considered valuable due to the demands of CTE program development and sustainability. As a result, the following attributes are desirable:</p> <p>? Demonstrate a high level of organizational skills.</p> <p>? Prioritize and multitask large projects with multiple deadlines.</p> <p>? Complete projects independently or on a team with other professionals.</p> <p>? Generate reports, meet deadlines, and document objectives without supervision.</p> <p>? Show critical attention to detail to produce accurate work.</p> <p>? Adapt to the constantly changing demands within an organization.</p> <p>? Demonstrate good judgment when addressing new and unfamiliar tasks as necessary.</p> <p>? Record of developing and maintaining positive relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.</p> <p>? Attain a working knowledge of current education legislation, regulations, and proposals for practical implementation</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard technology, vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and communication skills necessary to positively interact with the stakeholders.</p> <p>Accommodations may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodations.</p>
