Work involves directing and coordinating inspectors in the enforcement of minimum building codes and safety standards; and participating in the administration and coordination of condemnation and demolition procedures.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Inspection Supervision: Provide daily supervision of and guidance to Building Inspectors, conduct periodic performance reviews of Building Inspectors. </li><li>Inspection Coordination: Ensure that daily inspections are properly assigned to the respective Building Inspectors and that inspections are completed accurately and in a timely manner. </li><li>Building Code Inspections: Inspect construction sites for compliance with building codes, structural integrity, and safety standards. </li><li>Permit and Documentation Review: Review and verify construction permit applications, plans and specifications. </li><li>Field Reporting and Compliance: Complete inspection reports detailing findings, deficiencies, and corrective actions required. </li><li>Contractor Communication: Communicate with contractors,designers and homeowners regarding inspection outcomes and required corrections. </li><li>Safety and Compliance Monitoring: Ensure jobsite safety and enforce adherence to local, state and federal safety codes. </li><li>Report Preperation: Prepare and submit reports documenting inpsections, code violations and follow-up actions. </li><li>Collaboration: Collaborate with other inspectors and designers to ensure unified code enforcement. </li><li>Public Relations: Address inquiries and complaints from the public related to inspections and code enforcement. </li><li>Professional Development: Maintain current certifications and attend relevent training to stay up-to-date on code changes. </li><li>Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations such as storm damage or unsafe structures. </li></ul> <p>The individual in this role is expected to contribute to the team's efforts by completing other related tasks, as may be assigned.</p> <p>Position Inspection Supervisor Position Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - The following are the minimum education and experience required for the position. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>HS diploma or GED; Associates, preferred</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>8-10 years previous relevant work experience is required.</p> <p>Special Experience</p> <p>Supervisory experience, required</p> <p>Training Requisites</p> <p>ICC Certification Courses</p> <p>Certifications</p> <p>Must possess or be able to obtain certification as a residential and commercial inspector from the International Code Council, or be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire.</p> <p>Licensing</p> <p>Valid Class E drivers license.</p> <p>SUCCESS FRAMEWORK.
