<p>Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join a Construction Support Services Company's IT Department in Fairfax, VA and will be On-Site - 3 days a week . The Senior Network Engineer will empower the staff to leverage cutting-edge technology and strategies, ensuring they consistently surpass client expectations.</p> <p>Responsibilities of the Senior Network Engineer include:</p> <ul> <li>Manage the installation and troubleshooting of network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls. </li><li>Support local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) systems. </li><li>Lead or assist in special projects focused on improving and enhancing LAN/WAN hardware and software. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications for the Senior Network Engineer include:</p> <ul> <li>10+ years' experience in a distributed network environment. </li><li>Bachelor's Degree in IT related field or relevant experience. </li><li>Experience with software-defined networking (SDN/SDWAN) in a Meraki environment is required, along with a Cisco CCNP/Meraki CMSS or equivalent knowledge. </li><li>Candidates should possess strong expertise with Cisco Secure Connect and cloud managed security services, and also have knowledge of Cisco Umbrella and Cisco Nexus switching platforms. Well versed with Design and Implementation of Cisco networking technologies, including the following: Cisco Meraki SD-WAN w/ Cisco Secure Connect, advanced switching, routing, and firewall technologies. </li><li>Educated in Cisco network equipment including: Cisco Nexus 9000 series switches, Cisco Catalyst 9000, Firepower/Threat Defense Firewalls. </li><li>Available to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Compensation for the Senior Technical Recruiter include:</p> <ul> <li>Salary Range: $110,00 - $143,000 </li><li>Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays </li></ul> <p>This job opens for applications on 8/13/2025.
