This will entail assisting in the following areas:</p> <ul> <li>Develop preventive maintenance plans for test ranges and test equipment </li><li>Support troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of test ranges including hardware and software </li><li>Work with design engineering to develop design concepts for new test systems </li><li>Support implementation of range upgrades/new test systems including conceptual design, detailed configuration definition, and software development </li><li>Support future upgrades by researching emerging technologies and improved software/hardware </li></ul> <p>What youll experience:</p> <ul> <li>Technologies that arent just top-notch, theyre often top-secret </li><li>A team of bold thinkers committed to exploring whats next </li><li>Opportunities to gain new knowledge - as its discovered </li></ul> <p>What you bring to the table:</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelors degree in Engineering, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree </li><li>Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories </li><li>Solid knowledge and experience with object-oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages </li><li>Openly proposes ideas that enhance productivity and efficiency, solicits input, and optimizes solutions </li></ul> <p>What sets you apart:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with RF test systems and electronics test equipment </li><li>Solid knowledge in use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles and theories </li><li>Experience with LabVIEW programming language </li><li>Experience with reporting documentation of system design efforts and upgrade efforts </li><li>Knowledge of motion control and control systems including positioners, servo drives, controllers, motors, gearboxes, and encoders </li><li>Mechanical aptitude including knowledge of motors, gears, gearboxes, and bearings </li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications </li></ul> <p>NOTE: This position is 100% on-site in Marion, VA...it cannot be supported remotely.</p> <p>Salary Note</p> <p>This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
